Marked by the Moon is book one proper — Amara James returns to Black Hollow carrying a crescent scar that burns when magic moves. Blood & Moonlight widens the bond to four and lets the Consuming Dark in. The Last Reflection closes it with Lyra, the convergence, and a prophecy that promises she will break one, be betrayed by one, lose one, and choose one.
Start at Marked by the Moon if you want the main sequence. The prequel is a way in rather than a requirement.
Why the supernatural, and not simply romance
